The Eliminator Soil Searching is an enduro folding tire in 27.5" with balanced GRIPTON® T7 rubber compound and classic brown Skinwall sidewall. For this special limited edition, Specialized wanted to bring attention to the trail builders around the world who are often forgotten behind the athletes, yet do such important work without which the sport would not even be possible. That's why Specialized launched the Soil Searching Global Trail Ambassador program some time ago, supporting trail builders financially and with activities like " Dig Days" . 

The Eliminator tire is characterized by special puncture resistance, as it has been equipped with additional bead-to-bead protection. This makes the Grid Trail carcass exceptionally durable and stable. With its pronounced, yet not too aggressive lug design, it allows for fine-tuned handling in challenging terrain and is also perfect for use on trail E-bikes.

Its compound offers an optimal balance of grip and pedaling efficiency, dampening high frequency vibrations but allowing low rolling frequencies to pass through so no energy is lost. Thanks to 2Bliss-Ready, the Eliminator can optionally be ridden without a tube.

Technology:

GRIPTON T7 is a variant of the tried-and-tested GRIPTON rubber compound from Specialized, 

which is based on synthetic rubber and an activated silica compound. It is a trail compound with good rolling characteristics which offers plenty of grip, filters high-frequency vibrations and allows for a smooth ride. Its damping properties are an optimal combination of energy conservation and pedaling efficiency.

The " T" stands for " Tread Compound," and the number 7, on a scale from 1 to 10 (the extremes 1 and 10 do not exist), indicates the degree of damping and road grip, which in this case offers a very high (but not the maximum) value.
